PWC Committee - roles and responsibilities

 

The PWC Committee

Our club is run by volunteers and we are always looking for those of you that would like to get more involved in helping with the Club.  At our May meeting we will be electing officers and committee members for next year and we would love to have you join  us on the committee.  Here is a list of the positions and associated responsibilities.  Most duties do not take a great deal of time and we enjoy working together as a team. 

 

President

1.       Hosts the monthly meetings.

2.       Chairs the Committee meetings.

3.       Represents the Club.

 

Vice-President

1.       Deputises for the President.

2.       Co-ordinates speakers and themes for monthly meetings. 

3.       Introduces and looks after and buys gift for guest speakers.

 

Secretary

1.       Takes the minutes of all Club committee meetings.

2.       Keeps a record of correspondence to and from the club

 

Treasurer

1.       Is responsible for all monies received and paid by the club.

2.       Maintains financial records of the Club.

 

Membership

1.       Keeps membership forms, name badges and lists up-to-date throughout the year (using Excel).

2.       Distributes updated membership lists to committee members.

 

Hospitality Team (At least six are needed on the team because we need four at each meeting. One member attends the Committee meeting)

1.       Takes care of the catering side of the meeting -  lays and clears the hospitality table and the coffee tables.  

2.       Maintains hospitality rota.

 

Activities Team (At least three members. One member attends the Committee meeting)

1.       Organizes recreational, social and cultural activities to meet the expectations of the Club's international membership.

2.       Makes information available to members, at monthly meetings and in the Newsletter, about the Activities on offer.

 

Newsletter (preferably 2 members)

1.      Collates the information to be printed in the newsletter, for example, routine reports from monthly meetings, activities, the Committee and         useful/interesting information.

2.      Is responsible for the printing and emailing of the newsletter.

 

Crèche

1.       Organizes the crèche for monthly meetings.

2.       Finds reliable baby-sitters and takes the bookings for places in the crèche.

 

Charity/Raffle Team (2 members)

1.       A least 1 member to attend all Club meetings - to sell raffle tickets to members and guests

2.       Obtains prizes for the raffle.

3.       Liaises with the Club's chosen charity. Briefs them on fund-raising progress and agrees with charity the use of funds. 

 

Website

1.       Maintains and updates PWC website.
